the imprints series is an attempt to document life and events through skin photographs.
We live in an era where everything is documented and where our lives take place on social networks; the term "privacy" receives a new meaning as we are scrutinized by body scanners and our private lives are served on golden platters. The first series, the places we have left behind, is a group of skin scans done in early 2009. Your flesh is so nice and Once More With Feeling are series of macro-photography shots done between 2009 and 2010. Every mark on the skin has an explanation and a story; but none of the stories of these scars, burns and cuts are told, leaving it open for audience interpretation, allowing the public to reflect on their own histories.
