If you’ve ever tried to draw on skin – and, with all those cool colorful felt tips you had as a child, I bet you have – you’ll know what a bizarre canvas it is. Skin stretches and moves, it sinks lightly under the pens and almost soaks up ink and if you look very closely, with the wrong pen, your straight lines find themselves with ramifications like branches of a tree. And yet, or maybe for exactly those reasons, there is something magical about a walking drawing.
Essex-hailing band I Dream In Colour are pushing exactly that button in their new video London. Filled with something like pure romanticism, it follows a girl’s pen and imagination along curves and hills; the track itself is almost unbearably catchy, with nice harmonies in the vocals and an epic quality to it.
