It’s yet another sunny day, and I’ve been stressing and obsessing over this afternoon’s phone interview with Arne (also known as Bellman) who is currently in London with his brother and pianist to do a couple of one-off acoustic shows to slowly start promoting his new album (coming out in the UK on July 4th). In fact, if you happen to be there, I’d suggest you to go to the Regal Rooms (in Hammersmith) tonight, to melt your heart to the sound of lovely Norwegian pop. If, however, you’re not, you’ll just have to watch it on a live stream! Or, alternatively, settle for a stream of his album The Curse while impatiently waiting for our awesome interview to be transcribed and published!
My name has five letters in it, and comes up in some Bright Eyes songs. I am (apparently) an artist, with too much time on her hands. Well, enough to blog (almost) daily. I am 1/4 (the smallest one, actually) of Lazy Acre Records; I also write & photograph for a
localmagazine based in Englaaand and makeused to draw musically-inspired comics for a canadian mag (RIP Inscribed). As if that wasn't enough, I book bands for a local experimental music venue called Subterrarium: we rock pretty hard. Sometimes I can be quite cute. I used tostill have a crush on Marty McFly; I like baking, overusing semi-colons, the smell of the sea, and thunderstorms.
I tend to be quite the busy bee, but if you make VERY sexy music and want me to listen and enjoy and possibly even (!!) write about it, shoot me a mail, baby. music(at)alicetragedy(dot)org
