The problem with meeting a lot of great people, is that you end up spending a lot of time with said people, which leads to heavy long days (and nights) and little time for updates and things. I have just spent my weekend on the most excellent music video shoot ever – some news regarding this shall follow shortly. I’ve also been busy with a couple of interviews, a lot of staring at the sun (yes, the rain has disappeared …), meetings for new projects, meetings for old projects, and liters of coffee. I’m looking ahead, and all I see is an uncertain future with a lot of lovely people. We’re in this together. ANYWAY, this is just a little note to emphasize that I am not dead (as you might have gathered from my constant twittering on set), just busy. There’s a couple of exciting releases in the works, some collaborations (shhh…) and also, OUR EXHIBITION IS UP. It’s part of New Air; if you live in Vienna, I suggest dropping by the main building of the Music University (it’s on every day from 9am to 5pm), if not today, or tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, or friday, then on Monday, October 18th. There will be the finissage, with a free concert by participants and guest lecturers and supervisors, starting at 7pm. yeah.
My name has five letters in it, and comes up in some Bright Eyes songs. I am (apparently) an artist, with too much time on her hands. Well, enough to blog (almost) daily. I am 1/4 (the smallest one, actually) of Lazy Acre Records; I also write & photograph for a
localmagazine based in Englaaand and makeused to draw musically-inspired comics for a canadian mag (RIP Inscribed). As if that wasn't enough, I book bands for a local experimental music venue called Subterrarium: we rock pretty hard. Sometimes I can be quite cute. I used tostill have a crush on Marty McFly; I like baking, overusing semi-colons, the smell of the sea, and thunderstorms.
I tend to be quite the busy bee, but if you make VERY sexy music and want me to listen and enjoy and possibly even (!!) write about it, shoot me a mail, baby. music(at)alicetragedy(dot)org
