Faithful, Powerless and Glorious

VNV Nation last night were A M A Z I N G. I might be saying that just because it was my first time ever seeing them, because I wasn’t expecting Ronan to be so friendly and engaging, or because I wasn’t expecting the crowd to be so excited, wild and friendly.. The band came onstage through flashing lights spelling out the three words from their new album Of Faith, Power and Glory (released last June), with two extra keyboard players and an amazing amount of energy. They played a good mix of old and newer songs, though Carbon didn’t make it up there – *sigh*. Since tuesday I’ve been listening to the new record, which is much catchier than a lot of their previous ones, and I already have my few favorites. (Sentinel, The Great Divide, Where There is Light)
